DYLAN JUDE HARRELL
COMMUNITY CENTER
OUR STORY
Dylan Jude Harrell was a sweet and sassy four-year-old when she was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) on August 8th, 2018. DIPG is a rare, incurable brain cancer that affects 200-400 children a year, typically between the ages of four to eleven. Dylan bravely battled DIPG without complaint for 20 months and passed away on April 9th, 2020.
Dylan loved fashion, music, and her family and friends. She loved to swim and had been looking forward to playing soccer and starting ballet.
We hope that Dylan’s brave, fighting spirit will live on in this community and that the Dylan Jude Harrell Community Center can be a place where people young and old come together to make memories, find community, and have fun!
We build brave youth and help our community thrive.
OUR FUTURE
We are in the process of constructing a permanent facility at the Port of Ilwaco that will be home to our programs and help us continue to increase our impact. The first phase will include an Education and Early Learning Center, along with a Gymnasium Facility and outdoor play space. Future phases will increase recreation and education opportunities for our community!
For more information about the facility and to see how you can be a part of this legacy project, please visit this page.
