Preschool November Update!

Happy November!  We are 2 full months into this school year and it is flying by already.  In October we learned about leaves by going out into the woods and exploring them in nature.  We studied their colors and shapes and made a magical nature wand out of them.  We also learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin and how we can eat different parts of the pumpkin.  We even set up a carved pumpkin in the woods so we can watch it change through decomposition and see how animals might be using it to help them through the winter.  

THIS MONTH

The first two weeks of this month, we will be learning about all things apples! Then we will focus on what being thankful looks like. We will be exploring why it’s important to be thankful for who and what we have in our lives.  

If you come across any interesting apples, please don’t hesitate to share them with us!

IMPORTANT DATES

As a reminder, we follow Ocean Beach School District’s calendar and will be closed a few times in November! This is already on the calendar you have, but we wanted to send out a little reminder. November 10th (observed Veterans Day) and 13th we will not be in session for preschool and November 23rd and 24th we will be closed for Thanksgiving.
